La Commanderie in France

La-Commanderie is under the direction of Patrick Galant, the Grand Master and is served by the Commanders, Officers and Knights.

It has its headquarters, as the University of Wine at Château de Suze-la-Rousse in the Drôme Provençale. It was created in 1973 by Max Aubert, the first Grand Master, now disappeared.

She has eight baronies in the world: Liège and Ghent in Belgium, Montreux, Switzerland, Quebec, Drummondville and Montreal in Canada, the USA and the Philadelphia Palatinate in Germany
Its main tasks the defense and promotion of Côtes du Rhône wines and the vineyard and wine culture. It publishes a newsletter

It conducts annual in “Goutillonnage” true quality certificate for Côtes du Rhône wines awarded by a panel of professional tasters

The dubbing Commandeurs is the seat of the Commandery and inductions are in chapters both in the Rhone region in foreign baronies which are headed by a Consul representing the Grand Master.
