2^nd Chapître of the Commanderie des Costes du Rhône in China

It is in Shanghai,  on the initiative of Mr WAN (Consul of the Barony of Shanghai) on April 20^th, 2018, that the second chapître was held at the restaurant « the Sun Chine » under the supervision of the Commandeur Jean-Pierre ARNAUD,  accompanied by the Commandeur Laurent CHAREYRE, representing the Grand Master Patrick GALANT.

The Commander and former Senator Jean BESSON was also present at this ceremony which aroused great interest among friends of the Shanghai Commandery, very influential in wine distribution, sales, communication and events.

During this « chapître » of the Shanghaï Commanderie, 5 new Knights were enthroned and the Ambassador plaque ceremony was celebrated.

The new Knights are Mrs. Chengjie LU/路诚洁, and Mr. Lizhi XI/谢立治, Kai WEN/闻凯, Qing ZHU/朱青 and Nanping YU/余南平, consultant, entrepreneur, investor, teacher and executive in China.

Commander Laurent CHAREYRE on behalf of the Commanderie presented the Commanderie Ambassador’s plaque to the director of the hotel « SUN CHINE » and placed it on the right side of the entrance.

A true friendly dinner followed the Chapître, where the French wines, mostly from the Côtes du Rhône were tasted.

What is an “ambassador” ?

The  Commanderie  has created the title of « Ambassador of the Commanderie of the Costes du Rhône” in order to promote  wines from the Rhône Valley ».

This honorary title aims to « distinguish”  the professionals in the hotel and catering industry and more generally in the food  trades, who in their activity promote, throughout the world, the wine of our appellation and thus of our “terroir”, of its traditions and culture.

The title of Ambassador is accompanied by a prestigious plaque with the coat of arms of the Commanderie, affixed visibly on the facade of the establishment.

So, the public can easily identify it.

The ambassador is committed to the promotion of the Name to his clientele and to encourage them to discover the wines of the Appellation Côtes du Rhône  (AOC – IGP) .

The wine list of the establishment must include a substantial number of wine references from the Rhône Valley.

2^ème Chapitre de la Commanderie des Costes du Rhône en Chine le 20 avril 2018

C’est à Shanghai , à l’initiative de  Jun WAN (Consul de la Baronnie de Shanghai) le 20 avril 2018, que le deuxième  chapitre de la Commanderie s’est tenu au restaurant “ le SUN CHINE ” sous la supervision du Commandeur  Jean-Pierre ARNAUD, accompagné du commandeur Laurent CHAREYRE, représentants le Grand Maître Patrick GALANT.

Le commandeur et ancien sénateur Jean BESSON, était aussi présent à cette cérémonie qui  a suscité beaucoup d’intérêt auprès des amis de la Commanderie de Shanghai, très influente dans la distribution,  et la vente de vins, la communication et l’événementiel.

Lors de ce chapitre de la Commanderie de Shanghai, 5 chevaliers ont été intronisés et la cérémonie de remise de la plaque d’Ambassadeur a été célébrée.  Les nouveaux chevaliers sont  Mme Chengjie LU, et Messieurs LizhiXIE, Kai WEN, Qing ZHU et Nanping YU, consultant, entrepreneur, investisseur, professeur et cadre en Chine.

Le commandeur Laurent CHAREYRE au nom de la Commanderie a remis  la plaque d’Ambassadeur de la Commanderie au directeur de l’hôtel   » Le  SUN CHINE » pour la placer à l’entrée du restaurant. Le Chapitre a ensuite  enchaîné sur un dîner convivial où les vins français, en majorité des côtes du Rhône ont été dégustés. L‘adresse : No.6 Lane 1220 Huashan Rd / JiangSu Rd.

 Chapitre Fondateur de la Baronnie de Shanghai : 14 mai 2016

Le mois de mai 2016 a vu se dérouler le premier chapitre de la Baronnie chinoise de la Commanderie des Costes du Rhône lors du salon Luxexpo (du 12 au 14 mai) à Shanghai

A cette occasion  trois nouveaux Commandeurs  ont été adoubés par le Grand maître Patrick Galant, accompagné des Commandeurs Jean-Pierre Arnaud et Laurent Chareyre. Il s’agit Mme A.Shen et M. Y.Ong, le nouveau consul étant M. Jun Wan. Le nouveau Consul M. Jun Wan est amateur de bon vin et homme d’affaires (immobilier, chaîne de TV et organisateur du salon Luxexpo à Shanghai). Yann ONG est un ancien élève de l’Université du Vin de Suze la Rousse, gérant d’une société « Allo France Wines » et Audrey Shen est directrice d’une société d’import, organisatrice d’événementiel autour du vin.
A cette occasion 10 nouveaux chevaliers du milieu des affaires et du vin ont été, eux aussi, intronisés. L’adoubement de ce nouveau Consul de la Baronnie de Shanghai sera officialisé, comme c’est la règle de la Commanderie, lors d’un prochain chapitre d’été à Suze la Rousse, siège de la Commanderie. Après Séoul en 2013, la Commanderie conforte son implantation en Asie, dans l’un des plus grands marchés du futur pour l’Appellation. Et confirme par là son rôle primordial dans la promotion des Côtes du Rhône de par le monde, et bientôt à Los Angeles et San Francisco (USA) et peut-être un jour aussi à Singapour…
